Fineblanking
is a method of stamping which produces a part that closely resembles
a machined part. Fineblanked parts offer clean, right-angled,
fully-sheared edges with little or no die-break as compared to
traditional stampings. The tight-toleranced and accurate net shapes
produced by fineblanking enables fineblank stampings to be used
off the press and without reworking or secondary machining operations.
A wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials can be fineblanked
with remarkable results.
